About Dataneuf

A specialist firm with a deliberately narrow remit.

Dataneuf is an independent automotive market intelligence firm. We do not cover every industry, or every region. We compile European vehicle registration, parc and electrification data from primary official sources, and we document how.

The firm

Independent by structure, not by slogan

Dataneuf has no ownership relationship with any vehicle manufacturer, importer, dealer group, trade association or insurer. Nothing in our results depends on how the answer turns out. In a market where the most detailed new data product is published by the manufacturers' own association, and where three of the leading independent specialists were acquired between 2024 and 2026, that is a structural position rather than a marketing line.

The firm covers sixteen European national markets plus EU-wide aggregates, three vehicle-category families and five powertrain classes. We state a perimeter we can defend line by line instead of claiming a global footprint.

How we work with clients

Three formats, depending on what the question needs.

  • Recurring datasets. A defined cut, delivered monthly on the national release calendar, with a source manifest and versioned revisions.
  • Bespoke extracts. One question answered once: a market, a segment, a period, a comparison.
  • Analyst time. Booked in blocks, for teams that need help reading a series more than they need to buy one.

Licensing is written for institutional use: named users or organisation-wide, with the right to publish derived figures with attribution. Better to settle that in the contract than argue about it later.

2026 European Buyer Research Programme

We are interviewing organisations that buy automotive and EV data: which providers they use, roughly what a licence costs, what is missing from it, and what procurement asks for before approving a new supplier.

Interviews take about twenty minutes. Participants receive the consolidated sector summary. Nothing is attributed to a participant or their organisation without written consent, and no participant is added to a marketing list as a result of taking part.
